Outline: Culture Matters
This workshop is a one day workshop aiming at increasing Cultural awareness to a deeper level. Understanding and adapting to cultural diversity is essential to individual and organizational success. Recognizing and respecting cultural differences in the workplace is essential to a company’s sustainability and image as an Employer of Choice. Training is key to helping employees with different backgrounds understand and respect each other’s differences and those of the customers so they learn to collaborate and achieve the company’s goals.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
• Define Culture and understand why understanding culture is so important in the workplace
• State the benefits of workplace diversity
• Explain Hofstede’s five cultural dimensions
• Describe Cross cultural communication
• Understand the importance of diversity & Inclusivity is today’s global workplace
• Be prepared to work and communicate better with people from diverse backgrounds
• Understand the origins of bias and negative conditioning and use techniques to break such barriers
